Snowguard Specifications for Slate, Tile and Shingle Roofing
- At left is the recommended layout pattern.
- Vertical spacing between each row is 12" to 18" depending on the exposer (i.e. 7 1/2" exposer would yield a 15" vertical spacing).
- Horizontal spacing is 24" o.c.
- The first row of snowguards is placed on top of the third course of roofing.
- The three row layout pattern should be repeated every 15' up the roof slope (i.e. Rafter length greater than 15' but less than 30' needs two 3 row courses of snowguards).
- Manufacture's recommended layout is highly recommended.
