MiraVista Copper will naturally age or patina. The degree of patina will vary in different climates. Always use clean gloves when handling copper to avoid fingerprints.

Figure 3: Install copper shingles right to left by locking bottom hem of the shingle over the drip edge and into the receiver of the sidewall flashing. Use two (2) clips to fasten each full panel. Cut the shingle flush to the hip line, saving the cut off piece for use in finishing the left edge. If more than a full shingle is needed to complete a row, install the first shigle and slip the next shingle's right leading edge into the water channel receiver. Alternate hems as shown in figure 3. copper bay window kit

Figure 4: The last row of shingles may be cut short at the wall area. If this is the case you may nail through the shingle in place of the clips. copper bay window kit

Figure 5: Install an 8" strip of 30 lb. felt or WeatherLock Metal over the hip, prior to installing the hip caps. Start at the bottom edge and hand form the bottom hem of the first hip cap to lock onto the dripedge. Use two (2) clips to fasten the cap in place. Continue installing caps in this fashion. Nail or pop rivet the last cap into place. copper bay window kit
