Slate Ripper
The new "ESCO PREMIER" Slate Ripper is used for removing broken slate, the slate ripper has a thin blade with a hooked end which is slipped underneath the broken slate, and hooked around the nails holding the slate in place. The handle is then pounded to shear off the nails and broken slate is removed. A new slate is held in place by a slate hook. This versatile heavy duty ripper is 30" long and weighs 4½ lbs. Made especially for the slate roofer, the rugged pounding area can stand the toughest use. The thin blade removes slate easily and lasts for years.
